Liana Repass
The ideas behind my work are drawn from self-similar
and consistent patterning, which can be found on both microcosmic
and macrocosmic scales. I am interested in the similarities between
objects like stars and dandelion heads, veins and other branching
forms, as well as the various patterns which become apparent through
examining ocean surfaces. The observation of a single pattern
of construction from blood vessels, to trees, from veins to rivers,
and from the electrical pulses between brain synapses to lighting,
reveals the interconnected nature of the universe.
